Babe My love of cooking and food was passed down to me from my Grandma Katie and she was one heck of a cook.

At 10ish, probably because she sensed my itch to get into the kitchen, my mom let me loose to start cooking, always offering tips and tricks along the way. Through years of trials, errors and successes I feel most comfortable in my kitchen cooking up our favorite flavors that include, savory, comforts of home – usually dashed with a spicy bite!

Married for 29+ years to the man of my dreams, we are comfortably nestled in the hills of SW Washington, just 5 miles as the crow flies from Mt. St. Helen’s. Our two grown boys, rather impish in their younger years, continue to bring laughter and joy into our home! Whenever we get a chance to get together food is front and center…all of us love eating!

Correen and hubby At the end of 2010 I came to realize something I really loved to do…interview food bloggers! This epiphany was both comforting – a true ah-ha moment, as well as a call to action!
