Lauren is Keepin’ It Sweet

Oh me, oh my! You betcha’ if I’m hankerin’ for a sweet nibble all I need do is click on Lauren’s blog link to be taken to Keep It Sweet and all her dreamy delights. And at those times I kinda sorta shouldn’t give in, I sure wish foodie blogs, such as her’s, had scratch n’ sniff…lol! A special thanks to Joanne for paying it forward and introducing me to Lauren.

Tell us about some of the people you’ve met, both online and off, while working on your food blog?

I’ve had an amazing time making friends via the blog and over Twitter. Several of these women have become real life friends. There is an amazing and easy connection that you get when you meet someone in real life that you already know so much about and have many common interests.

Everyone has a favorite post. Name yours and why?

My overall favorite post was Dreams. It was about me realizing that I do want a future career in food and putting it out there for the world to see. I think my favorite food post was for Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Bars (pictured above). It was an idea I came up with on my own and it was a huge hit. It was also the first time I was Top 9 on Foodbuzz.

At the end of a hectic day, if you had to choose, would it be something savory or something sweet? Why?

It’s probably obvious that sweet always wins for me.

Who is your inspiration in the kitchen? Tell us a little about that person.

I’ve always been inspired by my mom who can bake and bake and bake. She is the reason I love it so much. Some of my favorite memories are of us in the kitchen having baking marathons.

What do you love doing when you aren’t working on your food blog?

I love to be in the kitchen, entertain, and spend time with family and friends.

Lauren LillingMy name is Lauren and I am a 20-something female living in New York City. I work full-time and am constantly aiming to balance my busy schedule with friendships, family relationships and me-time. The best way I know how to do all of this, is through baking.
