Who’s Behind Rewards4Life?

Garden Strawberries Poster

Ahh…a Monday that shines beautiful and brightly because David and Marta, the creators behind Rewards4Life, have stopped by for a visit! As I’ve reflected about our time together online I realized we’ve “been knowing” each other for over two years. As for me, I fell into instant like…this couple splashes rays of sunshine on all their interactions and online work…and in the online world that is a wonderful thing indeed. Get to know who’s behind Rewards4Life by the virtues of our interview, then click on the links to discover more about what they do…I’m convinced you’ll be ahh’d by your tour. ;)

How did you first got involved working online?

Redundancy was the main reason. We took a big risk and followed our dream of running our own business, mainly because the idea of being solely responsible for our future was simply too tempting. Totally out of our comfort zone we stared looking for ideas and opportunities and it didn’t take long before we noticed a growing need for self-help and motivational ebooks. We researched our market, bought our stock and created a store. Our online business adventure had begun.

Talk to us about Rewards4Life, your online brand and business?

Rewards4life started as a niche ebook distribution business and after four years it evolved to a respectable online personalty/brand. Our aim was to establish a product and service supply system in many different sectors to optimize our exposure, all had to be user friendly and most importantly could be efficiently managed. We used our existing business model based on 3 different income streams, (general product sales, master resell products and affiliate partnerships) and decided to apply it to a gift experience business. After a few tweaks the model worked and we could expand even wider to writing platforms like Squidoo and finally grow our social media presence. Our next step is to secure a place in an offline market place through trade fairs and country shows which are very popular here in the UK. Now, we can also concentrate on developing more unique products and providing supreme customer service for our existing and new clients.

What do you prioritize online? Content? SEO? Traffic? Readers? Please explain.

All are important but with regards to our products and services we always start with thorough research. What is currently in demand, the relevant audience/readers needs and things they look for most when making decisions. Either to buy a product or to stay and read our page etc. Next we create the product/content around that with the reader in mind. We always focus our business around the customers needs which we feel is important when offering products or services so a good understanding of the market is paramount.

Give your advice to aspiring (food) photographers who are interested in turning their work into art, like you do.

Basic knowledge of composition, lighting, techniques etc are all needed. Once you have the basics then its a case of exploring and honing your style. Find out what makes people tic, art and photography should stir emotion so tapping in to that can make people hungry for your work. Look at your pieces through the eyes of others, be constructive and criticize your work. Most of all love what you do it will show in your work….and your food.

What would you do if you just inherited an ice cream shoppe from your long lost uncle?

First, we would try to find as many locally sourced ingredients as possible because supporting the local industry is very important. With all the traditional ice-cream flavours available we would need to develop a unique culinary range, maybe gourmet style ice-cream or a fun family friendly make your own ice cream experience, with lots of sweet ingredients to pick from. Great for everyone to join in. We would add a meaningful or a fun message on the ice-cream pots and napkins which would make the service memorable.
